Lost and Found Co.

Privacy policy

CHECKED 2026-11-02 · Guide

Lost and Found Co. Guide is a static website. It has no account system, no comments and no forms, so the only information it handles is what your browser sends when it loads a page, plus what analytics and advertising providers collect.

This page explains those two things plainly.

What the site itself stores

Nothing that identifies you. There are no cookies set by this site, no local storage, and no login. The only script served from this domain is a small image lightbox that runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-KGNM7WB93T) to count page views and understand which guides are read. Google Analytics collects:

  • The pages you visit and how long you stay.
  • Approximate location, derived from your IP address.
  • Device type, browser and operating system.
  • The site that referred you here.

This data is aggregated; it is not used to identify individuals. Google's own privacy policy governs how Google handles it, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

The site is supported by third-party advertising supplied by an external ad network. Ads are served by that network's own scripts and are marked as advertisements in the page layout.

  • On desktop, the site requests a native banner unit from the ad network.
  • On phones and touch devices, the site loads a 320×50 banner inside an isolated iframe with the sandbox attribute set, so the ad cannot navigate the page or read its content.
  • The ad network and its partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure impressions and prevent fraud. Those cookies belong to the network, not to this site.
  • Ad blockers will block these ads, and the site works normally when they do. Nothing on the page is gated behind advertising.

The site does not sell, rent or share any data of its own — it has none to share. Ad personalisation is controlled by the ad network and your browser settings; the privacy controls in your browser or an ad blocker are the effective way to limit it.

Pages link to Steam, to Bit Egg's announcements, and occasionally to other guides for comparison. Once you follow a link, the destination site's privacy policy applies. This site does not receive any information about what you do there.

Contact and corrections

Email [email protected] for privacy questions, corrections, or a takedown request. If you are a rights holder and want an image removed, include the page URL and the image; the request is actioned without argument.

Changes

If the site adds a new analytics or advertising provider, this page is updated first. The checked date at the top of the page is the date the current version was reviewed.
