Fangtastic Feast walkthrough

CHECKED 2026-11-02 · New

Quick answer

Finish each room before leaving it, check the feast table, find Toffie before the final objective and take the Instapix last. The slime objective displayed incorrectly on 1.2.0 if you re-entered the stage.

Official Lost and Found Co. Fall Update art of a haunted room with bats and a child holding a plush

Fangtastic Feast is the second Fall Update request and the last entry in Steam's achievement list. The pitch is a haunted mansion, a famous Count, a table of savoury dishes and a house full of monsters who are trying very hard to be good hosts. It is also the stage with the lowest completion rate in the game at 8.2%, for the simple reason that it is the newest content and sits at the end of the unlock chain.

Mechanically it is the most layered stage Bit Egg has shipped: a mansion interior, a slime objective that had to be patched, a collab guest with her own quest line, and an Instapix moment. If you are going to read one walkthrough carefully, make it this one.

Where it sits and what it asks

Fangtastic Feast unlocks after Smoothie Showdown, in the same Fall Update batch as Love After Life. The stage is set in the Crimson Manor — the collab announcement names it directly — and the story revolves around the Count's feast: haunted mansion, freaky monsters, savoury dishes, everything included.

The objective structure follows the standard request template: one main item, a set of secondary objects, a side quest, and a collab quest that belongs to a guest character rather than to the client. The difference is the building. A mansion gives the designers multiple rooms, and multiple rooms mean the To-do list can send you back and forth.

The slime objective, explained

Patch 1.2.1 contains one line that tells you a lot about this stage: "Fixed a slime objective not displaying correctly when re-entering the stage." That is a specific, unusual bug — the objective exists, it tracks, but the UI fails to show it when you leave and come back.

Two practical consequences:

  • If you are on 1.2.1, the objective displays correctly and there is nothing to work around.
  • If you are on 1.2.0 and the objective seems to vanish after a re-entry, it has not vanished. Finish the stage in one sitting, or reload the save rather than re-entering the mansion mid-chain.

Whatever the slime objective asks for, the To-do line is the source of truth: if it is on the list, the stage is not finished, even if the creature is nowhere in sight.

A route through the mansion

  1. Clear the room you enter from first. Mansions are drawn as a stack of rooms, and the first one is usually the least dense. Finishing it early gives you a clean mental map of how the building connects.
  2. Work room by room, and finish each room before leaving it. The re-entry bug is exactly the kind of thing that punishes half-finished rooms.
  3. Check the feast table closely. A stage built around a dinner puts a lot of objects on and under the table. Look at the plates, the chairs and the floor beneath.
  4. Click the monsters. The guest cast in this stage is interactive; a monster standing in a corner is usually guarding a container rather than decorating it.
  5. Find Toffie before the final objective. The collab guest is Magical Girl Toffie Oohlala, who hails from Papayaland, is not entirely sure how she got here, and needs help getting out of the Crimson Manor alive. Her quest line rewards the "Magical Toffie" furniture set.
  6. Take the Instapix last. Photo moments in multi-room stages are easy to trigger early and forget; doing it at the end means you know you have been through every room.

Before you leave: the checklist

The slime line and Toffie's line are the two that most often keep this stage at 90%. Neither is hidden behind a puzzle; both are hidden behind the assumption that the stage is over.

Collab rewards and the third guest

Fangtastic Feast is one of two stages hosting a named collab guest from the Fall Update's "Featured Collab #1". Toffie's reward is the Magical Toffie set. The third guest is a mystery character from Papayaland who never appears in a single stage: you have to spot them four times across Plumville, in any past stage, to earn the "Sometime Blue" set.

That structure is worth knowing before you start hunting: the mystery guest is not in the Crimson Manor specifically, and completing Fangtastic Feast does not complete the collab. The full breakdown is on Collabs and events.

Performance and patch history

The stage shipped with 1.2.0 and received two fixes in 1.2.1: the slime objective display and a round of typo corrections, plus "various community-reported bugs". It has not needed the kind of structural repair that Apartment Apocalypse went through in the launch window.

What that means for a guide: this page will stay accurate longer than the launch-era walkthroughs, because the stage has only existed in two builds. If a future patch moves an object, the change will show up in the patch notes before it shows up anywhere else.

If you have just finished the Fall Update pair, the natural next step is the collab page — three furniture sets, one of which requires a Plumville-wide hunt. If you are chasing the last achievements, All 31 achievements shows which stages still have low global rates, and How many levels explains why the last four entries on that list were added after launch.
