Official Lost and Found Co. Fall Update graphic listing the two new levels

Lost and Found Co. has shipped twelve numbered builds since launch, from 1.0.1 on 10 March 2026 to 1.2.1 on 15 October 2026. The pattern is worth knowing: the first three months were bug-fix patches, the summer brought content and accessibility, and the autumn brought the Fall Update and its cleanup.

This page is the timeline, with the changes that actually affect how you play. Every date below is the Steam announcement date for that build.

1.2.0 — the Fall Update build

Announced on 12 October 2026, three days after the Fall Update itself went live on 1 October. The content:

  • Two new stages: Love After Life, set in a graveyard, and Fangtastic Feast, set in a haunted mansion. Both unlock after Smoothie Showdown.
  • Korean localisation, with the studio saying other languages are in development.
  • Dialogue history, so you can re-read lines you clicked past.
  • New Kit Shop items for Ducky's Room, Halloween-themed.
  • More random lobby events, so the office hub changes more often.

The Korean addition is the one that changes the language table on the store page: the game now supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, German, Korean and Thai, with English full audio.

1.2.1 — the cleanup

Three days later, on 15 October, the studio shipped a patch that is mostly about the two new stages. The general fixes:

  • Added more Kit Shop items.
  • Updated localisation text.
  • Added a gamepad workaround for naming Ducky's Rooms when saving.
  • Fixed a crash on the loading screen.
  • Fixed the To-do UI not opening after a quest unlock.
  • Fixed save state on object transforms (scale and rotation) not being applied.

The stage-specific fixes matter more for anyone following a walkthrough:

Lobby: objects around the office updated; duplicate visitor characters fixed.

Love After Life: optional dialogue added to the chest; optional dialogue added for Ducky and Mei during Act 2; Instapix art updated; a stage soft lock fixed; typos fixed.

Fangtastic Feast: a slime objective that failed to display when re-entering the stage fixed; typos fixed.

The To-do UI fix matters most: a panel that will not open looks exactly like a stage with no objectives left.

The patches that changed how the game feels

Not all twelve builds are equal. Four of them changed systems rather than fixing bugs:

1.0.7 (22 May) was the accessibility build. Save slots, colourblind mode, brightness and contrast sliders, touch and pen support, Japanese localisation, UI show/hide in Ducky's Room, keyboard shortcut tooltips, and a mute-when-unfocused option. If you played at launch and came back in June, this is why the options menu looks different.

1.0.8 (1 June) added the skip cutscene button. Combined with 1.1.3's "skip all" update, it made replaying stages for missed objects much faster — which matters because the achievement requires 100% completion, not just the story.

1.1.3 (27 July) fixed save loss. "Fixed save files lost in some instances" is a one-line note that represents the worst possible bug in a game with 31 stages. It also fixed the playtime stat in the milestones app, which is where the game's own hour tracking lives.

1.2.0 (12 October) added dialogue history. For a story-driven game with optional dialogue in Act 2 of its newest stage, this is the difference between replaying a scene and reading a log.

What the patch history tells you about guides

Three practical consequences:

  1. Object positions have moved. 1.0.7 alone lists sorting and position fixes for fourteen stages. Any guide older than that is describing a different layout.
  2. Side quests were the bug magnet. Graffiti, energy drink, fishing, sword, Mallet, Masked Man, slime — every named side quest in the notes needed a fix at some point.
  3. The Fall Update is still settling. 1.2.1 came three days after 1.2.0 and fixed a softlock. Expect at least one more pass before the Switch release.

Checking your build

Steam updates automatically, so if you launched the game after 15 October 2026 you are on 1.2.1. The build number appears in the game's settings or about panel; the Steam client's properties window shows the installed depot version.

If you are on 1.2.0 and hit a dead end in Love After Life, the answer is almost certainly the soft lock fixed in 1.2.1. Update before you replay the stage — the fix is not retroactive to a save that is already stuck.
